Zing Jukebox and Zee Companion give a personal touch to callers

ZEE is the only Indian TV network in the UK to air 2 live weekday shows and the local initiatives have had phones off the hook and have left the audiences wanting more.

Zee TV’s Zee Companion is a one-of-a-kind LIVE show that acts as an interactive portal between viewers, hosts and experts. Set in a state-of-the-art studio in Zee TV’s London office, the show aims to connect with the viewer and become their companion. The show’s hosts act as companions to the viewer and share experiences, discuss issues and aid them in getting guidance and advice from a renowned panel of experts. The show covers a variety of topics in the fields of health, law, finance, wellness, business, education and entertainment.

Following huge demand the show was extended to an hour long slot in February, Monday to Friday at 6pm, which sees almost 100 callers ringing in daily, with a peak of almost 500, to speak to the hosts and guests. Zee Companion helps people find solutions to problems faced on a daily basis, and has brought popular and celebrated personalities from various fields on the show to discuss these issues. Hot topics that get people queuing up on the calls are Immigration, Wellness, Health and Entertainment.

The calls provide viewers with a link to experts and renowned celebrities including Jay Sean, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Kumar Sanu, Shabana Azmi, Tarun Tahiliani, Jimmy Shergill, Sukhwinder Singh, Kabir Bedi, and many more. Esteemed Business tycoons Hussein Lalani, Shahnaz Husain, Lord G K Noon, Rami Ranger have interacted with viewers and given expert advice. The show has even reached out to a new set of audience through its latest initiative of community events, the first being an interaction of the public with experts on Health issues.

Zing Jukebox Live is another bridge between viewers and the world of entertainment. The live show puts the playlist controls in the viewer’s hand. Viewers get to select from an exciting mix of Bollywood songs via phone calls, emails, tweets and Facebook requests as they tune in Monday to Friday at 4:30 pm live. Song requests stream in throughout the day with a peak of 346, and hitting almost 200 calls even at weekends for repeat showings, with the show proving to be popular amongst a wide range of people from the youngsters as young as 8 craving to see the trendiest tunes of Bollywood to people requesting classic hits.

These shows provide a local and personal connect with the audience and see up to 4,000 people a month queuing up to call in and interact live on-air. Stay tuned for exciting highlights coming up on both shows!
