Crowning of the Zee World Miss Grand South Africa 2016 winner took place on Saturday 6 August at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria. Caitlin Harty won the coveted Zee World Miss Grand South Africa 2016 title. The evening was hosted by the Zee World Miss Teen Commonwealth South Africa 2016 1st Princess, Mpoentle Plaatjie.

Zee World Miss Grand SA strives to stop violence and focuses on bringing relief for women and children in war stricken areas. In South Africa they focus on charities working with abused women and children.
The finalists had to showcase their verve to the judges through various rounds of traditional wear, swim wear and evening wear. Each of the ladies had to make a speech and express their views on the Miss Grand international cause which is aimed to stop wars around the World. As their final challenge, they had to face the judges and answer a set of questions which allowed the judges to make their final decision.
The winner of the Zee World Miss Grand 2016 Caitlin Harty showed great finesse and poise as she took the crown. Precious Khoza won 1st Princess and Thando Tsiane won 2nd Princess.
Miss Grand International will take place on the 25 October in Las Vegas where Zee World Miss Grand winner, Caitlin Harty will represent South Africa among 80 countries globally.
