ZEE Theatre, a special offering from the stable of the leading global content company ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., in its maiden Theatre Tour, brings classic Hindi play ‘Chakravyuh’ to Ludhiana. Directed by Atul Satya Koushik, the play features Nitish Bharadwaj, Lalit Bhardwaj, Rahul Bhuchar, Tarun Dang, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Latika Jain, Kanika Sood, Rahul Singh, Bharat Sharma, Ankita Juneja, Gaurav Jakhu, Dikshant Negi and Farooq Khan. The play will be staged in the city on Saturday, January 28 at Guru Nanak Bhawan.
Chakravyuh talks about Abhimanyu’s glorious battle against the seven great Kaurava warriors, a metaphor for life. With little chances of surviving, the young Abhimanyu sticks to his karma, fighting valiantly and being recognized as the most glorious martyr of the epic war. The play talks about the 13th day of the epic battle of Mahabharata and the killing of Abhimanyu in the Chakravyuh formation.
Talking about the play, Nitish Bharadwaj comments, “Krishna has been an irreplaceable part of my life, whether playing it on TV or in front of live audiences. While Chakravyuh explores the killing of Arjun’s son Abhimanyu, it also discusses some of the most important philosophical questions of life. I am glad that Zee Theatre has decided to make Chakravyuha a part of their 15- city tour. I am looking forward to performing in Ludhiana.”
Zee Theatre Tour is a specially created and curated 4-month long tour that will travel to key cities in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal and Rajasthan, among others, staging 50 shows.
