Zee Telugu will be airing two most awaited shows – Geethanjali, a Fiction show in Horror/ Thriller Genre and Bathuku Jataka Bandi hosted by Jeevita Rajasekhar(Non Fiction).
Geethanjali is a story of Twin Sisters. The elder twin, Geetha dominates Anjali- the younger one. The story continues on how both of them fall in love with the same man, Arjun. Somehow, Geetha gets to know that Anjali and Arjun are secretly married. A heartbroken Geetha dies while Arjun accepts Anjali as his Lady Love. Further, the story unfolds into Geetha coming back as a ghost to haunt Anjali and Arjun to create differences between them.
As a part of the awareness campaign, we were associated with ‘Horror House’ or ‘Scary House’ which is it popularly known as. We run a contest where people could can share a scary experience and win an entry pass to the ‘Scary House’. It also included branding of Geethanjali and Zee Telugu within and outside the Venue. This was done in five different towns – Hyderabad, Vizag, Vijaywada, Bhimavaram and Kurnool.
Also, sky dancers i.e. tall balloons in the shape of a ghost were set up in majorly crowded areas which people frequently visit.
Having gained popularity in the past, Zee Telugu’s property – Bathuku Jataka Bandi has been successful in acting as a custodian in being a common platform for estranged couples or families to sort out conflicts and pull themselves together for communion with a purpose of leading a happy life ahead. Popular Actress, Jeevita Rajasekhar who is an empathetic person will be leading the show where she would facilitate discussion to help families re-unite or sort issues out with a course of dispute settlement and counseling. This platform also provides legal and psychological help if required. Also, advising on how one can overcome small issues by talking it out rather than ignoring the problem till it becomes a major issue. Every Friday, the show also specifically targets certain social issues like Child Trafficking, Dowry, Child Abuse, Rape Date Drugs etc. to create awareness and prevention measures to be taken for such issues. In addition, we also aim at tying up with government aided institutions who provides counseling to those who are facing problems but would not like to come out in the public with their problems.
As a part of the awareness campaign, we are also looking at creating awareness about such issues through Road Shows and Flash Mobs at places such as Malls, IT Parks and Colleges.
