At the recently held eleventh MAMI festival, Natrang also became the only Indian movie to be screened in the Above the Cut category of feature films.

Natrang, the first ever production by Zee Talkies, is been announced as the winner in Regional category.
Talking about the movie Nikhil Sane, Business Head, Zee Talkies said, It is an exciting and proud moment for the team. We have been working for three years on this film and now it feels like the perfect end with this winning. The film has also received international recognition and we are proud of that.
He added, This is also an achievement for our Marathi film industry since Natrang had tough competition in Vihir and Me Shivaji Raje Bhosle Boltoy. I thank the management and Punit Goenka for believing in us and guiding us through all the activities from day one.
This poignant movie which revolves around the life and times of Guna, a tamasha artist from Maharashtra and the challenges he faces while pursuing this passion. Natrang is based on a novel by the same name by acclaimed marathi author Dr. Anand Yadav and is set in 1970 s rural village of Maharashtra. This movie is not just a tale of the times and travails of the tamasha artist Guna (played by Atul Kulkarni), but also reflects the lives of every passionate artiste from across fields. The passion, zeal and the dream – Natrang is the story of a young artiste s journey to achieve one unthinkable dream.
Natrang has been in theaters for 25 weeks. At the recently held eleventh MAMI festival, Natrang also became the only Indian movie to be screened in the Above the Cut category of feature films.
