Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has emerged as the top-ranked Media Company in the latest list of Fortune India 500 – ‘India’s Largest Corporations’ (released in a special issue dated December 2015.) As per the list, ZEE is ranked at #226, moving up one place from last year’s ranking, with 4.6% revenue growth and 9.6% profit growth.
Furthermore, on the list of the Fortune India 500 companies who are most dominant on Social Media, ZEE made it to the Twitter Top 10 at #6, a rise from #11 in 2014 as well as the Instagram Top 10 at #3.
The Fortune India 500 list ranks companies by their latest annual audited total income, for the financial year ending on or before June 30, 2015. In keeping with accepted norms in India, total income includes core operating income [net sales] plus other and extraordinary income.
