Zee Marathi’s reality show ‘Sa re Ga Ma pa’ which has proven to be a mammoth celebration of singing talent and which is a vying stage for the contestants to be crowned as ‘Ultimate Singer’! Season 12 of New Fair & Lovely Sa Re Ga Ma Pa that launched on 13th January 2014 gets into the next gear with the start of the gala rounds from 27th January 2014. Adding to the occasion will be the new music arrangement of the ever popular Sa Re Ga Ma Pa title track by percussionist Taufiq Qurreshi who is also a judge in this season of the show. Joining Taufiq Qurreshi in the hunt for the ‘voice of the new generation’ will be Avadhoot Gupte the erstwhile and ever popular judge of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. To bring forth the innovation freshness and youthfulness imbibed in the content the show’s logo has been revamped, making it more vibrant, fresh and youth centric.
This season sees the show hunt for the ‘voice of the new generation’ and the promos of the show with the new renditions of popular Marathi tracks have become a rage amongst the youth. The campaign has been extended to outdoor, print and radio across key centres in Maharashtra. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has been the flagship property of Zee Marathi and the past seasons has provided the Marathi and Hindi industry with some outstanding talent. The auditions for the season started mid December through a 7 centre audition drive and after rounds of elimination the final 14 feature on the show. The mix of contestants in the top 14 showcases the eclectic mix of talent across Maharashtra and augurs well for the season. The show launches with a new micro site going live on 27th January 2014 that provides all essential information pertaining to the show, contestants and judges.
