Just like every year, this year too, Zee Marathi Awards – a viewer’s choice television awards 2010 comes with the grand bash. But this year the event had much more than the usual award function. With many unique and exclusive features, the night was not just an award function; it was a ‘Complete Celebration’. Zee Marathi Award is the one and only prestigious viewer s choice award in Marathi Television Industry that marks the recognition of the growing popularity of the characters from various programs on Zee Marathi. Zee Marathi Awards – a concept that seeks to further increase interactivity between the channel and the viewers, who get to vote their favourite serials, actors, actresses, characters, anchors etc. on Zee Marathi.
Zee Marathi Awards 2010 took place at Saint Andrews Auditorium, Bandra. Sunil Barve, an experienced actor from Marathi Entertainment and lead from Zee Marathi’s Daily soap Kunku, was host for the night. With his charming personality he made the atmosphere pleasant and enjoyable.
Awards were majorly dominated by 2 popular serials of Zee Marathi wiz, Majhiya Priyala Preet Kalena and Kunku. Majhiya Priyala Preet Kalena and Kunku won awards like Best Actor, Best Family, Best Onscreen Pair whereas Kunku won various awards like Best Actress and most popular Best Serial Award.
Along with the awards, there was a unique added attraction for the night. An unexpected gift came in the form of Satyapal Maharaj s Kirtan (popular form of folk). He performed different local dholak tunes with different folk instruments and enlightened the atmosphere. As an add on to Satyapal Maharaj performance, the atmosphere got hotter with sizzling dance performances of Abhijit – Shamika (MPPK), Satyajit-Amrita(Amar prem), Manasvini-Aakash(Lajja) on various famous hindi songs like peeloon, banda ye bindaas hai etc. Later Neha-Mrinmayi performs a dance jugalbandi, which was a double treat for viewers.
Atul and Anshuman from Fu Bai Fu were back with their hilarious performance of Maglagaur. Just like expected, they came, performed and won the hearts and left us full of laughter.
Along with the visual treats musical extravaganza given by the songs of IDEA Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs followed by the champions Anirudhha Joshi and Rahul Saxena. It was Rahul’s first performance after his recovery. Also, both of them sang Morya Morya for Apurva their one time colleague which made the viewers little emotional.
The event moved towards the climax with the delightful songs by famous hindi singer Rekha Bharadwaj. She started with Latadidi s Marathi song ‘Ya Chimnayno’ followed by various hindi songs including Namak Ishqka, which is her most popular song. The night of awards went on its climax with its last categories and once again a comic performance from Vaibhav – Kshiti entertained all.
This most awaited, magnificent ‘Popular Awards Show’ of the year for the Marathi Television Industry and viewers will be telecast on Sunday 31st October 2010 at 7.30 pm on Zee Marathi.
