A riot of bright colors, festive joy, energy soaring and 100K people hooked on to one thing – ‘Diwali at Times Square’ presented by ZEE’s newly launched Hindi Channel in the US, &TV. October 16th, 2016 will go down in history as the day when the crossroads of the world, Times Square was enveloped with &TV branding and Zee TV superstars.

Some of the topmost superstars of Indian Television – Zee TV’s Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha & Karan Tacker (Host of &TV’s The Voice) were joined by some of the best entertainers like Siddhesh Pai & Kanchi Shah (Dance India Dance fame), Sean Matthews (Dance India Dance North America Fame) and Jyotica Tangri & Kushal Paul (Finalist and Winner of Saregamapa 2016).

Karan Tacker played the perfect host on a stage that was smeared with &TV branding, to 50K people present at Times Square, eagerly waiting for the entertainment lined up for them for the evening. He took the stage and had everyone hooked from the word go with his charm & persona. He got the crowd pumped up and the energy at Times Square was electrifying.

Shabbir Ahluwalia’s and Sriti Jha’s popularity was witnessed live at the &TV booth at Times Square. To say that people waited anxiously and in anticipation to meet their favorite superstars is an understatement. Thousands patiently waited in line to meet and click a picture with the most popular couple on Indian Television from Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya. The crowd was completely flabbergasted when Shabbir & Sriti walked in, greeted and clicked pictures with thousands of fans. Later in the evening they won over a million hearts when they walked onto stage for an interaction in front of thousands of fans who adore them. The interaction session with host Karan Tacker was the highlight of the evening and Shabbir & Sriti with their on-stage chemistry once again justified why they are the most adored couple of Indian Television.

The crowd also witnessed why Dance India Dance is the undisputed leader in dance shows. Sean Matthews (Dance India Dance North America fame) kicked off the evening with a scintillating performance. He entertained and didn’t fail to impress the massive audience with his dance moves as he performed on one hit song after another. He was successfully succeeded by Kanchi Shah & Siddhesh Pai. Individually and together they set the stage on fire and gave a performance that made thousands chant Once More .

The foot-tapping mode was easily switched to the heartwarming mode when Jyotica Tangri & Kushal Paul walked on stage. Jyotica Tangri’s performance was nothing short of extra-ordinary. Her enigmatic voice won her a sea of hearts at Times Square. The biggest event of the year had a fitting end when Kushal Paul walked onto the stage to deliver a performance that will be talked about for a longtime. Kushal with his soulful voice had the crowd completely mesmerized and made the climax for the event a perfect one.

With regards to branding, Times Square had a complete makeover when it was completely branded by &TV. From booths, standees, cutouts, flags, banners and balloons, Times Square was turned Magenta with &TV branding. Another branding factor was executed in the form of &TV sweatshirts and t-shirts. People wearing the &TV sweatshirts and t-shirts numbered in the thousands and added to the humongous success of the event and &TV branding.
