Mumbai, October 30, 2009: In a meeting held on Thursday, October 29, 2009, the Board of Directors of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) have approved the appointment of Punit Goenka as the Managing Director of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) for a period of 5 (five) years from January 01, 2010. Currently Mr. Goenka serves as the Wholetime Director and CEO of ZEEL, his current term of office expires on December 31, 2009.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman, ZEEL said, The Board of Directors at ZEEL feel that Punit has created an excellent leadership team and proved his mettle in the organization. Zee Entertainment has grown commendably under his astute leadership and guidance. The Board is convinced that Punit s vision for the company will help us set benchmarks in the years to come.
