The queen of Indian television, Ekta Kapoor has launched her 1st ever Marathi daily soap on Zee Marathi. “MAZIYA PRIYALA PREET KALENA” is the story of Shamika & Abhijeet and about the love they share that makes and breaks their lives. Shamika is a naive and affable NRI girl, while Abhijeet is a smart, intense and intelligent man; whose middle class roots keep him humble.

Mrunal Dusanis and Abhijeet Khandkekar, debut as Shamika and Abhijeet in a trademark Balaji style of launching newcomers for this new daily. The cast also includes Sneha Kulkarni & Prasad Jawade from “Maharashtracha Superstar”, a popular acting-based reality show of Zee Marathi. Along with them, renowned theatre artists Sanjay Mone, Suhita Thatte, Sumukhi Pendse & Amita Khopkar are also a part of this love story.

While speaking on ‘MAZIYA PRIYALA PREET KALENA’, the 1st Marathi daily of Balaji production, Ekta Kapoor reveals that she is neither concerned about any star-cast nor about the lavish sets; all that matters to her is a strong storyline. “I am a die hard story-lover. The viewers mean a lot to me and pleasing them is my duty. I know what exactly the viewer wants. Any number of elaborate sets or famous characters will not appeal to them in the way a good story would.” says Ekta. Talking about the casting for her shows, Ekta sated, “I would prefer a hard working artist who may not be so popular but has the passion to work hard and who values the art of perfection.”

So tune in to Zee Marathi to watch the enthralling love story “MAZIYA PRIYALA PREET KALENA” from June 14th onwards, Monday to Saturday @ 8 pm.
