Post the super success of Airlift, Akshay Kumar has started shooting for Rustom with Ileana D’cruz. Rustom, produced by Zee Studios, KriArj Entertainment, in association with Cape of Good Films & Friday Filmworks, unites Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey for the third time. The iconic Akshay Kumar, unveiled the poster and also did an exclusive first look performance of the film at Lux Zee Cine Awards 2016.
Having a strong romantic plot, Rustom is also a thrilling murder mystery with exciting twist and turns. Set in the late 1950s, the movie is inspired from real life incidents and is written by Vipul K Rawal.
Rustom starring Akshay Kumar, Ileana D’cruz and Esha Gupta, will also mark the debut of Tinu Suresh Desai as a director. It went on floors on 5th Jan 2016 and will be releasing on the long weekend of 12th August 2016 that celebrates Independence Day. Zee Studios is marketing and distributing the film globally.
