Twitter is abuzz with contests everyday & the race is to win cool gadgets or movie merchandise or gift vouchers. ETC also decided to run a contest on twitter but the prize was way bigger than anyone could have offered. It was a dream come true opportunity for millions of fans of the biggest star in Bollywood- It was an opportunity to meet King Khan himself!
ETC started the contest under #etcMakeMeMeetSRK, where the participants had to tell us why he/she was the biggest fan of Shahrukh Khan. The contest was a success from the word go! #etcMakeMeMeetSRK got over 1.1 million impressions in just a few hours! It became a trending topic in India within the 1st hour! This mind blowing response was not really unexpected considering the opportunity in hand!
2 winners were announced & they got to spend an hour with the superstar while he shot for the interview for ETC Bollywood Business with Komal Nahta & then they got to interact with him & even get a picture!
Winner, Somi Mehta, is such a die-hard fan that she gave a very tough fight to the other fans. She alone sent out over 250 tweets or 250 reasons why she should be chosen as the winner! This overwhelming response ensured that she was one of the lucky winners indeed!
