The phenomenal playback singer Javed Ali, who is known for his strong vocals and has given chartbusters like Jashn-e- Bahaara (Jodhaa Akbar), Guzarish (Ghajini), Kun Faya Kun (Jodha Akbar), Ishaqzaade and Daawat-e-Ishq title tracks amongst many more, will join Himesh Reshmaiya and Neha Kakkar as the judge in the sixth season of the immensely popular and prestigious singing reality show for kids- ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’. This King of melody, whose voice touches your hearts, had earlier been a mentor on Li’l Champs season 4 and has also hosted India’s most iconic singing reality show – Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in the year 2012.
Javed Ali Said, “I’m thrilled to be associated with the most renowned singing platform on Indian television and really looking forward to it. I’ve judged one of its previous seasons and I’m glad to be back. I was floored, back then, by the sheer range of talent on the show. I felt privileged to be surrounded by such phenomenal kids. The creative team behind the show ensures that they set very high benchmarks for excellence and select only the best from the country. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has given the music industry some of its finest talents and I believe there is no better platform for aspiring singers. This show is a learning ground for all. The auditions for the season have already commenced and the response is overwhelming! I am keen to add value to the journey of each of the contestants by sharing my experience and learnings. I plan to mentor each of the kids to the best of my ability. Can’t wait for the season to begin!”.
The auditions for the new season kick started with a phenomenal response in Bhubaneshwar on 2nd December, witnessing outstanding participation from kids! The 16 -city auditions have been held in Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Patna, Indore, Gwalior, Jaipur, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Nagpur, Kolkata and will soon be held in the remaining cities including Delhi, Vadodara and Mumbai.
With an aim to fuel the competitive spirit of kids across schools in the country and give them a chance to get their school’s name on the television map, a unique initiative named ‘Represent Your School’ has been added to this year’s auditions process. Participants are requested to come dressed in their school uniforms. Additionally, another novel initiative included in this season’s auditions is the ‘Mobile Van Audition‘, wherein aspirants will get a chance to audition at mobile vans outside Schools, Residential Complexes, Malls and Parks. And, winners of the mobile auditions will get the coveted ‘Cut The Queue’ pass.
