The romantic thriller’s trailer and music video has movie buffs hooked. It’s finally out and what a phenomenal response it has received! The official trailer of the most awaited movie of the year ‘Rustom’ is out and keeps its promise of entertaining audiences.
The promotional line across the film’s campaign of ‘3-Shots that shocked the nations’ with Akshay Kumar in and as Rustom surely leaves you wanting for more. The trailer is high on intrigue and suspense showcasing the dedicated service of Rustom Pavri (Akshay Kumar), a dashing naval officer, his idyllic married life with his English-born wife (Ileana D’Cruz), and a perfect world. Launched at 8.57 PM on 30 June 2016, across all channels of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, the trailer was seen worldwide across 171 countries reaching over 1 billion viewers, making it the highest mounted trailer in the history of Hindi cinema.
The first joint collaboration between Zee Studios, KriArj Entertainment, Plan C Studios and Cape Of Good Films, the film went on the floors at the start of the year. Superstar Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, who have worked together in Special 26 and Baby, have come together again for ‘Rustom’. Written by Vipul Rawal, the film is inspired from real-life incidents and set in the late ’50s. It also features Esha Gupta essaying a grey role along with Sachin Khedekar, Pavan Malhotra, Kumud Mishra, Parmeet Sethi, Sharad Kelkar, Kanwaljit Singh and Brijendra Kala adding further depth to this strong ensemble cast.
