Zee Studios' Marathi film 'Sairat' directed by National Award winning director Nagraj Popatrao Manjule has taken the Indian film industry by storm.

Zee Studios’ Marathi film ‘Sairat‘ directed by National Award winning director Nagraj Popatrao Manjule has taken the Indian film industry by storm. It has not just opened to a stupendous Box Office collection but has also received tremendous admiration from critics and fans all over the world. Given the huge response that the film has garnered, Zee Studios is all set to remake the film in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malyalam languages with Rockline Entertainment, one of the biggest producers from South India, who have produced blockbuster films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Lingaa.

Sairat, a love story featuring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar (Archi & Parshya), is set against a backdrop of caste discrimination and has been the talk of the town ever since its release. Marathi Cinema has become synonymous with good content cinema in the recent times. Interestingly, the music of Sairat which has been composed by the eminent music-director duo Ajay-Atul, is making waves all over. People are dancing to the tunes of the song ‘Zingaat’ in theatres! Shows across the state are running to full houses and the golden run is expected to continue through the week and beyond.
