As a part of its hugely successful ‘Beyond the Ring’ concept, India’s leading sports network, Ten Sports Network organized a special visit of WWE Superstar, Mark Henry to New Delhi on August 28th and 29th, 2015.
The ‘World’s Strongest Man’ visited Kingdom of Dreams on August 28th which witnessed crowds of more than 1000 people. Fans were delighted to see their favorite superstar LIVE in action. On August 29th, Mark Henry brightened up the day of under-privileged children in New Delhi when he met children involved in Chetna, a welfare organisation for orphan children.
Mark Henry is an American power-lifter, Olympic weightlifter, strongman and professional wrestler who has been signed to WWE since 1996. The ‘World’s Strongest Man’, he has won the titles of World Powerlifting Champion, Weight-lifting Champion (3 times), WWE Heavyweight Champion, ECW Champion, three Slammy awards, Olympic medals in Weightlifting and the World Record for pulling TWO 50,000+ lb. tractor trailers.
The ‘Beyond the Ring’ concept was introduced by Ten Sports to organize a fan-superstar interface and to allow fans to live the WWE Experience. As a part of this initiative, WWE Superstars like John Cena, Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Kane, Ryback and BNB have visited India over the last 5 years. The Great Khali’s India tours in 2008 and 2010 and Big Show’s tour in 2014 were the most memorable events with more than 20,000 fans turning out in Mumbai & Delhi for a glimpse of their favourite superstars.
