New Fair & Lovely Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 12, Maharashtra’s only credible music show is all set for crowning its next MAHA SINGER. The 7 finalists of this season are gearing up towards the grand finale and the singing reality show on Zee Marathi will usher in the New Year with a LIVE radio concert in association Radio City 91.1 FM. As part of the concert, the singers are performing to a medley of songs with music from the famed Sa Re Ga Ma Pa musicians. The concert will be aired on the occasion of Gudi Padwa simultaneously across 7 centres in Maharashtra namely Pune, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Sangli, Jalgaon, Nanded & Akola.
This unique endeavour will bring musical cheer to scores of fans of the show across Maharashtra. The contestants will present solos as well as duet songs and most importantly make vote appeals as the show is leading to its grand finale. The concert is being heavily promoted across all the stations through roadblock mentions on the station on 31st March’14. The show will be hosted by the popular Radio City RJs Shonali and Prabhu. The show is co-hosted by popular Zee Marathi anchor and artist Sankarshan Kharade.
This one of its kind activity will help build traction leading up to the finale and will help further boost the ratings of the already popular show. The theme of this season ‘Sur Navya Yugacha’ has cut across all age bands and the constant innovations this season with song rearrangements has offered the viewers something new and different. Currently with the top 7 finalists spread across Pune, Kolhapur, Solapur, Konkan and Mumbai, the show will offer supporters of the show an opportunity to bring in the New Year listening to some of the golden era melodies apart from the latest chartbusters. As the season nears its crescendo there is great anxiety as well as nervous energy amongst the fans to find out who will be the next MAHASINGER. The support the show enjoys has been evident in not just the ratings but also the support the show has enjoyed across a number of ground activations in the recent past. In a recent promotional tour at Kolhapur, supporters of Prahlad Jadhav were seen carrying placards of him and distributing leaflets with a vote appeal in his favor. Such craze is seen across markets and is testimony to the singing prowess of the singers.
This season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is the twelfth in the franchise and is judged by Avadhoot Gupte. Avadhoot has been joined by world famous music maestro and expert percussionist Taufiq Qureshi in the quest to find Maharashtra’s best singing talent. The show which launched in January started off 14 contestants in the age group of 15-30 years and now with the season in its final run the competition has begun to heat up with each of the finalists wanting the sobriquet of Maharashtra’s best singer!
