The evening saw ‘Banglar Gourav Samman’ presented to Sunil Gangopadhyay (Literature), Rituparno Ghosh (Cinema), Dwijen Mukhopadhyay (Music), Late Badul Sarkar (Theatre), Madhabi Mukherjee (Cinema) by Mr. Punit Goenka; MD & CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. There were scintillating performances by the most popular stars of Bengal of the current generation Dev and Subhoshree. The stage was also lit by specials performances by Shaan & Shreya Ghosal with songs from the land of their origin – Bengal. Overall, takhe evening was attended by popular faces of the television, film, music and theatre fraternities of Bollywood & Tollywood. A specially designed red carpet saw attendees from different walks of life; politics, Industrialists, socialites, Tollywood/ Bollywood fraternity supported by the Press/ Media fraternity.
