In good news for Indian cricket fans, Ten Cricket has announced it will beam the India s tour of West Indies 2011 in high-definition (HD) mode through Direct-to-Home (DTH) service providers.

Ten Cricket, which holds the broadcasting rights for the mega event in the Caribbean, will screen the series which includes a T20, 5 ODI s and 3 Test Matches. This is the first tour for World Champions India after the successful Cricket World Cup campaign. Cricket’s huge following in India is expected to give a boost to the already sizable HD TV viewers in the country.

Speaking on the announcement, Atul Pande (CEO TEN Sports) said, “It is our constant endeavor to offer an unparalleled viewing experience. We have always been at the forefront when it comes to embracing newer technologies. It s cricket viewing at its best with true to life picture quality on Ten Cricket HD and I m sure our viewers will enjoy the broadcast. Cricket viewing in HD enhances the viewers experience significantly and adds much value to the total viewing experience.

Ten Cricket HD is the first Live HD content offering from the Zee Network, and paves the way for more HD offerings from TEN Sports bouquet in the near future.

Ten Cricket HD is available on DTH platforms – on Dish tru HD on channel no 641 and on Airtel Digital TV on channel no. 222
