Mumbai, August 2004: Zee Music-Sound of India announced the launch of Item Bomb- India’s first hunt, which will give a platform to young girls to perform opposite Sanjay Dutt for an item number in Musafir. Zee Music with White Feather Films, the production house of Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta will hunt to discover a ravishing, hot and happening girl. Musafir, that will hit the theaters in October stars Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy and has been directed by Sanjay Gupta and presented by Sanjay Dutt.
Speaking on the announcement of Item Bomb, Yogesh Radhakrishnan, Business Head, Zee Music, said, “This concept has been specially created by Zee Music to hunt for a vivacious talent for Bollywood. Zee Music will go across 4 cities in India- Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore and two International destinations-London and Dubai, which are two strong markets for Zee Network. Zee Music’s association with Musafir is providing a tailor made platform for all the aspiring youngsters. The winner of Item bomb will get a chance to be cast opposite Sanjay Dutt in an item number.”

With this announcement Zee Music and T Series will launch an Audio CD “Item Bomb Blast” which will comprise of sixteen rocking Item Number from Aaisa Jadoo – Khakee, Sajna Ve – Chameli, Ishq Samundar – Kaante, Kambakth Ishq – Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, Kallas – Company. The contestants will get an opportunity to perform on one of the songs from the compilation at the auditions.
